Penryn Town Map Cover Competition

Penryn is fast becoming a hub for creativity as well as a town that enjoys and regularly benefits from the commitment and dedication of a growing number of pro-active community groups.  With this in mind we want the NEW town map for 2015 to reflect this creative, colourful and busy aspect of the community.

We are inviting Penryn based artists to take part in our, ‘Penryn Town Map – Cover Image’, competition by submitting a piece of artwork that will then go to a public vote alongside two other local artists.

The competition will run from August 23rd 2014 until October 31st 2014 with the three pieces exhibited for public viewing at several locations across the town, along with a ballet box for voting. This will enable local residents and business owners to take an active roll in choosing the image they want on their town map while giving the artists greater exposure.

The winning artist will then see their work on 10,000 maps that will be seen locally, nationally and internationally.
