The Olive Branch Cafe is a community based and run cafe offering a variety of workshops, activities and events. Everyone is welcome to join in at the Olive Branch. So pop along and enjoy a yummy slice of cake and friendly conversation.
Incredible Edible Penryn is a community project that encourages local residents and business owners to grow their own vegetables. They are then encouraged to share the produce and stimulate a source and buy locally principle.
But you aren’t restricted to any one garden. Window boxes, public spaces and hanging baskets can all be employed for the project.
Based on the very successful, ‘Incredible Edible Todmorden‘, now a thriving community business, the Penryn based project aims to promote shared responsibility for sustainability while promoting the town in a positive way.

The Glasney Greenspace Regeneration Project is a local residents group created to support the regeneration of the Glasney Playing Field & BMX Track, (incorporating the Valley Walk). This is one of the towns oldest areas that is steeped in history and a beautiful area to work on regeneration.

Collectively run, the ISA is an active forum for critical discussion. It was founded on the principle of free thinking against the backdrop of rising tuition fees for universities. The lecture series has evolved through people’s enthusiasm for sharing their work and all are welcome.

Foodbanks offer a lifeline to those in times of emergency and crisis. By offering nutritional meals and advice on relevant support agencies. You can help by volunteering your time to assist with tasks such as collecting, packing and fundraising. Or you may wish to donate food or financial support to the project.
The Penryn Arts Festival has been established to showcase the wealth of creativity in and around Penryn. A multitude of exhibitions, events, movies, food and drink will be staged over 3 days in 2014 18th – 21st July.
This is an epic project and more hands are needed to bring the festival to its full potential.

The Penryn Treasures Charity shop believes that all the money raised in the community should benefit the community. Money raised through sales at the shop are offered back to those in financial difficulty due to poverty, sickness and/or disability. Community groups may also receive grants from this great shop.

Penryn’s Womens Institute has offered invaluable support to the Town for many years particularly during times of distress.Meeting twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd week, the WI are a warm a welcoming group of women.

Penryn Camera Club has been running for 30 years and welcome both amateur and professional photographer members. A number of events, workshops, talks and competitions are held throughout the year. Camera club members are quite often found documenting some of the great events that take place in town, including Penryn Week and Penryn Arts Festival.
